A pavilion located in Burnett Woods Park in Cincinnati, Ohio was extracted from a series of physical studies of curves.
The prominent focus was the psychology behind curves in architecture and their positive impact to the human psyche. I studied the creation of curves through planes and edges. The design spiraled into a series of soft and hard curves.
The material is timber and stone to cohere to the natural site. The structure has a flexible program with a focus on gathering, performance, and rest. vegetation plays an important role in the view, sound, and ventilation for any public programs to be performed
