A collective house was formed in a dynamic and sophisticated manner to house those who tirelessly work for others. The design was focused on comfort, escape, and nature. It is located across the street from Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio. The prominent element of the home is a large-centered tree. The tree draws the exterior landscape inside the home. The tree is surrounded by a large courtyard as a primary element of escape from their busy, everyday lives.

The program includes twelve sleeping units, a shared bathroom distributed per two bedrooms, A large fitness center, entertaining room, a communal kitchen, and dining and living all provide an appropriate amount of community within the home. The In Sage Residence exhibits a balance of community and escape to promote physical and mental health for healthcare workers.
